Greener I.T.: A Crash Course for Sustainability Professionals

 

 

What is it?

Whether the objective is to stay one step ahead of climate change and environmental legislation like the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme, or to mitigate operational and reputation risk, sustainability officers are revising their sustainability strategy, policies, practices, and targets. Many of these plans include the obvious impact areas - water, waste, lighting, and transport. Yet many plans overlook one area - I.T. - which is a large part of the problem but has the potential to offer viable solutions.

This course will help you to understand the environmental impact of I.T, how to incorporate green I.T. into your sustainability strategy and set relevant targets across various business functions – from procurement through to end-of-life.
