Description
Understand how making smarter I.T. purchasing decisions could save your organization money and improve its environmental performance
What is it?
Whether you are a procurement manager, a sustainability officer or environment officer in the IT industry you may increasingly be called on to ensure that your organisation’s purchasing decisions do not run counter to its environmental objectives. Our course, A Buyer’s Guide to Greener I.T., has been designed to help you understand how purchasing greener I.T. can promote sustainability throughout your organization. The course provides an introduction to approaches, resources and solutions to help you make smarter I.T. purchasing decisions that could save your organization money, improve its environmental performance whilst also advancing your career.
Who is it for?
This is a general sustainability awareness course for procurement professionals. Get all the information and knowledge you need to apply ‘greener thinking’ to your organisation’s I.T. purchasing strategy, policies, targets, and practices while also advancing your career.
What will you learn?
By the end of this course you will: • be able to describe Green I.T. and how purchasing decisions affect the organization’s sustainability targets. • be able to incorporate responsible procurement practices into your organization’s I.T. purchasing decisions • be equipped with the knowledge and understanding required to make the business case for purchasing greener I.T.
Where is the workshop held?
We deliver our workshops on-site at your premises. We find that this works quite well for our clients as it reduces time spent away from the office, as well as the costs associated with travel and accommodation.
How much does the workshop cost?
The cost for the workshop is only £250 + VAT per person (minimum of two people).
Please note:
1) Because our workshops are interactive with exercises designed to help you develop a plan of action for your organisation, a minimum of two attendees is required.
2) A 5% discount is available for non-profit organizations (charities) and organizations’ signed up to 10:10 campaign
3) A 10% discount is available for groups of 5 - 9 attendees
4) Bespoke pricing is available for groups of 10 or more
What if I can't meet the two person minimum.
Will you deliver the workshop to only one person?
Because our workshops are interactive with exercises designed to help you develop a plan of action for your organisation, the workshop doesn't work well when delivered to a single individual. However, we understand that in some cases, there is only one relevant role/junction who whom the workshop would be beneficial as well as constraints around cost. That's why we offer a Green I.T. Surgery. This is a 2.5hr session which is a condensed version of the workshop combined with advisory/consultancy for only £250 + VAT.
If you're interested in our Green I.T. Surgery, please complete the form below, ring us on +44 (0) 20 7096 0468 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
