What is it?

Whether the objective is to stay one step ahead of climate change and environmental legislation like the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme, or to mitigate operational and reputation risk, sustainability officers are revising their sustainability strategy, policies, practices, and targets. Many of these plans include the obvious impact areas - water, waste, lighting, and transport. Yet many plans overlook one area - I.T. - which is a large part of the problem but has the potential to offer viable solutions.

This course will help you to understand the environmental impact of I.T, how to incorporate green I.T. into your sustainability strategy and set relevant targets across various business functions – from procurement through to end-of-life.

Who is it for?

This workshop is suitable for sustainability professionals who want to learn about Green I.T. strategy, policies, targets and practices. Typical job titles of attendees include Sustainability Manager, Sustainability Officer, Environmental Manager, Environment Officer, Facilities Officer, Energy Officer, Green Champion, Environment Health and Safety Officer.

What will you learn?

By the end of the course, you will:- • be able to describe Green I.T, and how to incorporate it into your organization’s sustainability program • be equipped with the knowledge you need to make the business case for Green I.T. • have the relevant knowledge and confidence to engage with I.T. Managers and I.T. Service Providers around Green I.T.

Where is the workshop held?

We deliver our workshops on-site at your premises. We find that this works quite well for our clients as it reduces time spent away from the office, as well as the costs associated with travel and accommodation.

How much does the workshop cost?

The cost for the workshop is only £250 + VAT per person (minimum of two people).

Please note:

1) Because our workshops are interactive with exercises designed to help you develop a plan of action for your organisation, a minimum of two attendees is required.

2) A 5% discount is available for non-profit organizations (charities) and organizations’ signed up to 10:10 campaign

3) A 10% discount is available for groups of 5 - 9 attendees

4) Bespoke pricing is available for groups of 10 or more

What if I can't meet the two person minimum.

Will you deliver the workshop to only one person?

Because our workshops are interactive with exercises designed to help you develop a plan of action for your organisation, the workshop doesn't work well when delivered to a single individual. However, we understand that in some cases, there is only one relevant role/junction who whom the workshop would be beneficial as well as constraints around cost. That's why we offer a Green I.T. Surgery. This is a 2.5hr session which is a condensed version of the workshop combined with advisory/consultancy for only £250 + VAT.
